If I Exit the Black Desert Launcher Will My Download Continue From Where It Was

    Hey, I'm new here.

    I been having issues launching the game after downloading. It's fully updated to version 972, but when I hit play on the launcher after logging in, it shows the anti-cheat and I can see in my task manager that the BlackDesert64.exe process is open for a second or two, and then it just closes and takes me back to the launcher. This happens every time and I've tried force checking, compatibility and administrator, different client and then downgrading or upgrading. None of it works and I am stuck unable to even get the game to load up past the anticheat.

    I've tried with my AV off and on and it always has the same issue. Really hoping someone can help me out so I can this server.

    PS: I'm using a recent Nvidia driver so that shouldn't be the issue.. I also do not get any error messages; it just never loads the game and takes me back to launcher.

    Maybe "AV off" doesn't really mean off. Is the game added to antivirus exceptions?
    Check system logs to see if there is any error message about the game (antivirus should also log info about killing the game).

    I turned my AV off completely - all protections were disabled; still had the same issue with game never launching and going straight to launcher after I hit play. I also checked the logs and saw nothing. It makes matters worse that the private server's logs are encrypted as BDLOG files when I can look at retail log files without any encryption. If I could see the log file, I could probably see what it says is going on when I try to launch the game.

    PS: Just did this all-in-one installer just in case and it still didn't fix the problem.

    What is your AV btw? and Windows OS?

    I use Emsisoft Anti Malware. My OS is Windows 10 Home. I already said, though, I tried it all without my AV turned on and it didn't help.

    Try this.

    Open up event viewer, you can search it when you press the windows key.

    Then on the windows logs > application

    Try to see if there are logs there stating gamezbd / black desert online crashing. That might help out point which is causing it.

    I do see some abnormal logs, but no idea what they mean. Right after SmartGuard starts, there is another log that states this:

    "Game process ID 59248 terminated abnormally after 2 s. Exit Code: 0xe06d7363"

    Then, another log comes right after.

    "Profile notification of event Load for component {B31118B2-1F49-48E5-B6F5-BC21CAEC56FB} failed, error code is See Tracelogging for error details. "

    This seems to be a bug on smartguard or is it something else on his computer?

    @JimBeam maybe if you can export the logs and post them, someone can help. ATM, we can only report it to gamezbd devs/gms

    I'd love to, but Gamez BD encrypts their log files as BDLOG file code. The messages I posted from the Event Logger are all I have to go off of. I have no error code at all. If I could check the logs and post them, I would. If an actual staff member would come in here and openly look at my encrypted logs using their tools to un-encrypt them so they can see the details, I'd be more than happy. As far as I can tell, staff have no idea either.

    PS: Last night, I downloaded an entirely new client from the Gamez BD recommended download thread and got the full 30GB client. I then extracted it, started it up, and had the same exact issue. Game never launched after I hit play, and just went straight back to the launcher soon after hitting play.

    After doing more digging, I can confirm it is 100% the Smart Guard causing my issue, but I still have no error code to go off of.

    Not using a laptop. Would love some help if you'd reply to my private messages. I'm 99% sure my issue is because of Smart Guard as the error appears to happen right after the Smart Guard appears to launch the game. Possibly a ban? No idea.. But, I'd like some help from a staff member. I'm not the only one having this issue and it's been over a week by now and no-one has gotten back to me about the issue, unfortunately.

    Currently having the same issue. The game launches, windows appears then closes with this in the event log of SmartGuard "Game process ID 13112 terminated abnormally after 7 s. Exit Code: 0xc0000409"

    For about 6 hours the game was running fine with no issues then all of a sudden this started happening out of nowhere.
